Service description:

If you face a difficult situation in your home country, you have the right to count on international protection in Poland. International protection has always been relevant for foreigners from the nearest countries of Poland, but recently this topic has gained more popularity due to the geopolitical situation in the world.

International protection has become a perfect alternative to temporary protection for Ukrainian citizens who cannot obtain or renew their passports. And for citizens of other countries, for example Belarusians, this way becomes the only solution for today. International protection provides large financial benefits for refugees, both during and after the application for this status.

International Protection in Poland in 2024 is a great option for foreigners from CIS countries to move to Poland legally, get a safe place to live and guaranteed financial benefits.

→ Indefinite stay in the country

→ Large financial aids

→ You can get a residence permit after five years of living in Poland → Possibility to conduct business activities and work on the territory of Poland

→ Opportunity to receive housing from the state

→ It is possible to stay in Poland even with expired documents

→ No tie to the employer

The team of aksis migration agents is always ready to provide you with personalized assistance in obtaining benefits through international protection. Trust your case to the professionals at aksis!

First of all, it is worth noting that there are two terms - temporary protection and international protection (refugee status). Many foreigners think that these two terms mean the same thing, but this is not the case at all.

International protection in Poland has been granted since 2003 and is designed for persons who face a real risk in their home country. As a rule, this includes persons who have been threatened because of political views, race, nationality, religion or membership of certain social groups. Also, due to a recent law, many Ukrainian citizens have been prevented from obtaining or renewing a Ukrainian passport, so they may also be eligible for international assistance.

Temporary protection in Poland, in turn, was introduced on March 12, 2022 in the form of a special law on assistance to Ukrainian citizens. Such a program is designed for Ukrainians who entered Poland after February 24, 2022. It is necessary to formalize such status within 30 days after crossing the border.

To take advantage of international protection, you need to have a small list of documents with you:

→ Identity document (passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.).

→ One 3x4 cm color photo card.

→ A properly completed application to request international aid.

Keep in mind that if you come to Poland with a child over the age of 14, he/she must also come with you to apply for refugee status. After you have submitted your documents and application, you will be fingerprinted, given a medical examination, interviewed and photographed again. After your application has been accepted, you will be issued a temporary foreigner's identity card.

Based on the term itself, international protection provides a foreigner with the possibility to live in Poland without a certain period of time. The most important benefit of international protection is that foreigners receive large financial aid. Also, holders of this status automatically receive a residence card for a period of 2-3 years with extension. After a stay of 5 years after this status, you can apply for a residence permit even without language skills, without proof of income and without a certificate of employment.

In addition to all this, you get access to medicine, education and most importantly - to the labor market. You will be able to find official employment in Poland without any problems. Foreigners with refugee status can open their own company and do business legally. And perhaps most importantly, you cannot be deported to your home country if you are under international protection in Poland.
