Moreover, Poland has developed an excellent state program thanks to which each resident can receive up to 40 thousand PLN of compensation for the purchase of an electric car. What is the NaszEauto program?

We suggest starting with what the NaszEauto program is and what it is all about. This is a Polish government initiative aimed at stimulating the transition to electric vehicles and reducing the number of vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICE) on the country's roads. Thus, residents of Poland can buy a new electric car, receiving a subsidy from the state up to 40 thousand PLN. However, the final amount of compensation depends on many factors, which we will discuss in this article.
This is a new program, as the application process opened recently – on February 3, 2025. Previously, Poland had another program called Mój elektryk. However, there it was possible to save up to a maximum of 27 thousand.
Who can expect to receive financial assistance?
We would like to point out right away that this initiative is intended for about 40 thousand people. The newly created NaszEauto program is available for both individuals and individual entrepreneurs. Large companies cannot expect to receive subsidies for the purchase of electric cars. Also, families with children can apply for assistance, for which there are additional bonuses.
Let's talk about the amount of subsidies. The standard amount of compensation for the purchase of a new electric car is PLN 18,750 for individuals and PLN 30,000 for individual entrepreneurs. If you have a low official income (up to 135,000 PLN for 12 months), then you can count on an additional bonus of 11,250 PLN.
To increase the environmental efficiency of the program, additional bonuses are provided for scrapping cars with internal combustion engines. In case of scrapping an old car with internal combustion engine, the buyer can receive an additional 5-10 thousand PLN subsidy.
List of requirements for BEV car purchase subsidy
So, we move to the most important part of this article. The Polish authorities have developed a whole list of requirements that must be met in order to receive financial assistance for the purchase of an electric car. Here's everything you need to know:
The vehicle must be of category M1, i.e. a passenger car designed to carry up to 9 people, including the driver.
It can be either a BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) or a hydrogen vehicle.
The vehicle must be new, with no more than 6,000 kilometers of mileage at the time of application.
The maximum value of the vehicle must not exceed 225 thousand PLN.
The vehicle must have compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (polis OC) and comprehensive motor insurance (Autocasco - AC).
